Marysville Memo
DECEMBER 2020
COVID-19 DAILY ACTIVE SCREENING
SAFE ARRIVAL & INCLEMENT WEATHER
All parents/guardians are asked to report their student’s absence, regardless of the reason, including bus cancellation days. Often, bused students find alternative ways to school and we want to ensure we know the whereabouts of every student to ensure their safety and well-being. Knowing who is supposed to be at school will allow school office staff to best ensure all students are accounted for.
For more information on the Safe Arrival/Absence Reporting process, please see the LDSB website at: https://www.limestone.on.ca/families/report_a_student_absence

REMINDERS
- School Picture orders are due Dec 3rd. Orders can be placed online at mylifetouch.ca OR by completing the order form and returning it to school.
- Extra masks - KFL&A Public Health recommends students have an extra mask at school during the colder weather. This will allow for a change of masks as they become moist from the colder air.
- With the wet, colder weather it is also a good idea for students to have splash pants or snow pants for recess time, or an extra set of clothing, if needed.
- Water bottles, please!
- Please ensure your child has indoor running shoes at school.
FROM MPS SCHOOL COUNCIL
My name is Angie Macauley, and I am this year’s Parent Council Chair. I would like to welcome all returning families, and especially those families new to Marysville Public School.

Anyone interested in learning more about what goes on in our school, or in sharing ideas or suggestions, is more than welcome to attend one of our meetings. The next PAC meeting will be held virtually on December 3 @ 3:00pm. (Families will have received an email, through School Messenger, with a link for the meeting).
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time at northernang@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Angie Macauley
